**About the HT730 Stock Counter**

Refer to the full Stock Counter manual for detailed instructions, but here are the key functions you need to know:

* The HT730 features a **touchscreen** that allows you to select products and scroll through your product list.
* If left idle, the device will **timeout**. Depending on how long it has been inactive, you may:
 * Simply **swipe up** from the blue screen saver to return to the app, or
 * Need to **power on** the device.

Don’t worry—**your count is not lost**. Any in-progress counts will remain exactly as you last left them.

* Counts in progress will stay on the HT730 **until you overwrite them** by importing a **new product list** from POS Manager.
* If there is an **unsaved count** on the device when you try to import a new list, you’ll receive a **warning message**.
* Importing a new product list will **erase any unsaved counts**. Counts that have been saved will remain on the device until manually cleared.

**Counting Process: Overview**

There are 3 main steps:

1. **Export product list from POS Manager to HT730**.
2. Perform your physical count**.**
3. **Export your count data from HT730 to POS Manager**.

**Exporting Your Product List to the HT730**

**Important: Exporting is a two-step process:**

1. Export the product list from POS Manager to the HT730.
2. Load the product list on the HT730 to begin counting.

You can export a new product list to the HT730 while a previous count is still in progress. However, once you perform Step 2 (Load Products on the device), it will erase any unsaved count, and you will receive a warning message.

**Steps to Export Product List**

1. **Connect the HT730** to the POS Manager computer via USB-C.
2. **Turn on** the HT730 and open the **Barnet Inventory App.**
3. In POS Manager, navigate to:\
 Inventory>Closing Count>Export Product Items to Stock Counter.

4. When prompted:

* Select ‘YES’ if you want to include **On Hand quantities** in your count.
* Select ‘NO’ for a **blind count** (On Hand quantities will not display).

5. Choose your product filter:

You will be given the option to export:

* **All Categories**
* **All Locations**
* **All Vendors**\
 …or you can choose **specific** ones.

**Two Options Available:**

**OPTION A:**\
Export only the **specific Category, Location, or Vendor** you are planning to count.

**Choose Specific Filters:**

1. First, select your filter type (**Category**, **Location**, or **Vendor**).
2. Press “ADD” – this opens the available list.
3. You can:
 * Highlight multiple entries in sequence, or
 * Double-click each entry individually.
4. Once selected, press “APPLY” to finalize your choices.

**OPTION B:**\
Export **all product items** to the Stock Counter, then **enable “Export Counted Items Only”** in the Inventory App **Settings** on the HT730 **before exporting back to POS Manager**.

**Which option should you choose?**

* If there's a chance that SKUs are incorrectly categorized in POS Manager (e.g., in the wrong location or vendor group), use **Option B** to ensure you don’t miss anything during your physical count.
* If you're confident your product setup is accurate, **Option A** will keep your count list shorter and easier to work with.

5. A confirmation window will appear asking you to confirm the Stock Counter. It should display **"Unitech HT730"** – press “OK”.

6. A second confirmation window will appear on your computer – press “OK” again to complete the export process.

\&#xNAN;**“Count Data Loaded – New Count Data Available.”**

To begin the count:

1. Tap the **three dots** in the **top right corner** to open the menu.

If the screen shows ‘Back’, press “Back” first, then tap the **three dots** again.

2. From the menu, select **Load Products**.
3. You will see the message:\
 \&#xNAN;*“Operation in progress… SUCCESS: Count Saved OK.”*
4. Press “Done”. The screen will then read:\

**⚠️ If a Previous Count Exists**

If the HT730 already contains an unexported count, you will see both:

* **Count Started (date)**
* **New Count Data Available to Load**

You have two options:

* **Finish and export** the current count to POS Manager before proceeding, or
* Continue with **Load Products**, but this will delete the existing count.

⚠️ **Warning Message:**\
\&#xNAN;*“You have current count data. Please make sure it has been transferred to the POS Manager, since Load Products will clear current count.”*

* To keep your existing count, press “Cancel” and complete the export first.
* To discard it and proceed with the new count, press “Load”.

2. The list will display all SKUs from the **Category, Location, or Vendor** you selected—or all SKUs if you exported the full list.

Note: Only **100 SKUs** are visible at a time. Scroll to view more.

3. For each product, you’ll see:

**COUNT** – the quantity you’ve entered so far

**O/H (On Hand)** – if you chose to display On Hand values during export
