Closing Count V.2

• In V.2 when you have just imported or keyed your count, count time can be current instead of the default system Start of Day time. With iPad and Stock Counter, it automatically imports the time of the device. For manual counts you can edit the count time as you + add products or Edit them in the edit bar at the bottom of the screen. For manual entry you have the flexibility of setting specific count times for individual items in case you counted one at 10 a.m. and one at 11 a.m. for example.

• You have access to columns for both Sales and Receiving from the Start of Day to the count time allowing you to make corrections BEFORE you post. While Sales can be filtered for any count in Edit Closing Count, receiving cannot, so V.2 helps to ensure your initial count is more accurate and saves time. Before you post, your Shortage column relates to Count time On Hand. After you Post, you have the same Edit Closing Count view, can filter Sales only and balance to Start of Day On Hand just like with Add Closing Count.

• V.2 has many Field columns, and you may prefer to edit these so it’s easier to read. Fields can be selected in the dropdown at the top of the page and columns can be re-ordered or narrowed. The fields will stay the next time you open V.2, but you will have to re-order the columns to your liking. See an example below, that shows the data quite clearly with these fields selected:

• Count time is imported off the iPad or Stock Counter if you are using it and applies to all items on the count. If you manually enter a count, for each SKU you add to the count you can edit the count time BEFORE you enter the description or CSPC. When you press “+” to add a product the edit bar opens at the bottom with the current time on the computer showing as the count time:

• When you type in a SKU, info will remain blank until you click your cursor into the Units cell to enter a Closing Count quantity.

• Unit cell clicked – now we see that 12 units have been received since the Start of Day, 2 sold leaving a current On Hand of 10.

• To add a product with a different count time you need to press “+” to add the SKU but BEFORE adding SKU details, change the time. Click on either the hour, minute or second of the time field and then use the arrows to increase or decrease.

In this example 417347 had 0 On Hand at Start of Day but 2 were sold and 12 were Received showing the current On Hand should be 10.

Once you Post the Count you will use “Edit Closing Count” as usual, and it will show the Start of Day On Hand (System Quantity) UNTIL you filter “Show Sold/On Hand” to update.
