Pending Communication Error

PENDING COMMUNICATION ERROR

If Barnet has received a ‘Pending’ response rather than an Approved or Declined response from payment processor, this window will pop up on the POS screen. As it explains, the clerk should print a receipt from the pin pad itself to check to see if it is Approved or Declined.

  • If Approved, they should press the “Manual” button which will bring up a payment choice to choose manually.

  • If Declined, the clerk should press “Cancel” and retry payment.

  • It is OK to press “Retry”. It will not double charge the customer and the payment may go through correctly. It is impossible to double charge the customer by pressing “Retry”.
