PENDING COMMUNICATION ERROR
If Barnet has received a ‘Pending’ response rather than an Approved or Declined response from payment processor, this window will pop up on the POS screen. As it explains, the clerk should print a receipt from the pin pad itself to check to see if it is Approved or Declined.
If Approved, they should press the “Manual” button which will bring up a payment choice to choose manually.
If Declined, the clerk should press “Cancel” and retry payment.
It is OK to press “Retry”. It will not double charge the customer and the payment may go through correctly. It is impossible to double charge the customer by pressing “Retry”.
