DISCOUNTS IN BARNET PART 2
Customer Based Discounts
Customer Groups
A Customer Group is where you can create rules for a set of customers including discounts. First create a Customer Group then add customers to the group. From the Customers dropdown menu, select “Customer Groups”. Add a new Group by clicking the green “+” in the top left corner.
When you create Customer Groups you must enter a unique ID# and you must assign a Reward from the dropdown. There are many different Discount Type options you can choose for your Group.
In this first example Neighbourhood Business customers will get 5% off price, they can also earn points.
In this next example customers in this group will get Cost +LTO+ 10%. If you bought an item on an LTO sale the LTO will be added to the cost to make the cost for cost plus calculation the item’s regular cost as if you had not purchased it on sale.
There is also the option to choose a specific price level like Price 3, Price 4 or Price 6 for a Customer Group.
Customer Maintenance
The next step is to add customers to the Customer Group so that when your staff search for them at the till, they will automatically get the discount setup in their Customer Group. From the Customers dropdown, choose “Customer Maintenance”. Use the green “+” sign at the top left to add a new customer. You must enter an ID and choose a Customer Group.
Price Levels 2-8
All SKUs can have up to 8 prices. Price 1 is your regular shelf price. Some of the other price options are hardcoded for specific things.
